  right! the reporter is talking about how hot the day is. the reporter is telling people how much heat is in the air. in other words, the reporter is giving the temperature of the air.<br />

  the picture shows one kond of thermometer.notice the numbers on the thermometer. they show the degree, or amount, of heat in the air.<br />

　if the  weather is hot, the numbers are high. if the weather is cold, the number are low.<br />
